After fully living 65 years, and having started and grown a business over 45 years, there is a lot to look back on and reflect. There were seasons of success, failure, growth, and stagnation. The painful things at the time were most beneficial. Regardless of if you are thriving or in survival mode, be challenged, encouraged, and decide what you are going to achieve. You are the only one standing in your way.

Many years later, it dawned upon me that these are “The Beautiful Attitudes” that describe the inner character as fully devoted followers of Christ. After reading this chapter multiple times I desired to be salt and light.

I recall many years ago when we were packing up from a weekend away. To avoid traffic, we would sometimes stay Sunday night and leave at 3:30 in the morning to return to work and avoid traffic.

Shaking salt and shining light are to be done simultaneously. The salt is needed to add spice to where your light is meant to shine. Good works are actions that God has commanded, and we need to be sure that we have prayed about what we should be doing.

Have you ever been in a situation where you said that person lacks Integrity? My dad taught me many things as a child when going to job sites with him at 5 years old, but the education continued through his 93 years.

How often do you hear the word Integrity? It is not a word people spend much time thinking about. How do we define it? Integrity is “firm adherence to a code of especially moral or artistic values.”
